Oh, what a game! The Mens Soccer team did it again. The guys had a great 1-0 (David Dupont) victory over N Meck making them the Regional Champions 2007. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THEM. Their next step will be to play for the State Championship this coming Saturday at the WRAL soccer complex in Raleigh, time TBA. If they keep playing like they have been playing since the playoffs started, there is no doubt that they will also conquer the state championship. For those of you who came to the game at N Meck, thank you very much, your support was really appreciated by the team and we hope to see you all on Saturday for another exciting game for our Whirlies Soccer Team. Just wanted to let everyone who was not up at 11 last night that the boys got some “TV Coverage” on the Fox 8 sports cast. They said they report on high school football a lot, but wanted to let everyone know that the Greensboro Grimsley men’s Soccer team was still alive and playing in the regional finals tonight at North Meck. He said “win that game and they will play for the State Championship on Saturday.” He wished them luck. WSOC, their sister station in Charlotte, should be there filming and they hope to have some highlights tonight or Thursday. IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE, DON HESITATE AND PLEASE COME TO SUPPORT OUR GUYS TONIGHT @ 7 pm, AS THEY FACE THE # 1 RANKED N MECK, THEY WILL NEED US. Yesterday night, The Whirlies Mens Soccer Team had an awsome victory defeating S Meck 3-2 in a 4rd. period overtime game. The team advanced to the quarter finals game which will take place Saturday, November 10 @ 2:00 PM at Jamieson Stadium. They will face RJ Reynolds for the 3rd time this season, the previous 2 were Whirlies victories. Come, bring your Whirlie Spirit, your enthusiasm is needed for this important match. Be part of the crowd to cheer for our Mens Varsity Soccer Team. We need a strong 12th Man. GO WHIRLIES

Wednesday, November 7, 2007, @ 7:00 PM the Whirlies mens soccer team will face South Meck in the 3rd Round of the State Playoffs. Please, we need you to come to support the team. They will need us to cheer for them as loud as we can. Remember, your support will encourage our players to do their best. GO WHIRLIES!
